FOR DENTISTS & PRACTICE TEAMS
Bring appropriate surgical cases into the office your patients already know. Vanguard provides Dr. Travis Hunt, a surgical assistant, procedure-specific equipment and materials, and coordinated postoperative support—with a plan built around your practice.
No setup or travel fees. A no-cost practice assessment. A measured first surgery day.

A fit for practices that currently refer surgical cases out.
General dental practices
Expand access to extractions, wisdom-tooth treatment, grafting, implants, sinus augmentation, and full-arch reconstruction for appropriate patients.
Pediatric dental practices
Explore an in-office pathway for appropriate extraction and surgical cases, with patient age, health, sedation needs, clinician scope, and facility readiness assessed before treatment is scheduled.
Orthodontic practices
Coordinate indicated extractions and wisdom-tooth treatment with the patient’s orthodontic plan, subject to individual evaluation and site readiness.
The starting point is not a particular practice size. It is a suitable patient population, an appropriately equipped and staffed setting, and a shared commitment to preparation and follow-through. Cases that require a different setting or provider continue to be referred appropriately.
SURGICAL SERVICES
One partnership.
A broader range of care.
Extractions & wisdom teeth
Extractions across the full range of complexity, including completely bony impacted wisdom teeth. Treatment is tailored and adapted as needed, with coronectomy considered when complete removal is not the safest or most appropriate option.
Implant placement
Single and multiple implant placement, including immediate placement in selected extraction sites when clinical conditions permit.
Bone grafting & sinus augmentation
Site-specific grafting and both vertical/internal and lateral-window sinus augmentation where indicated by the treatment plan.
Full-arch reconstruction
All-on-X treatment for one or both arches, with a coordinated pathway from surgery and eligible same-day provisionalization to the definitive zirconia restoration.
Oral & IV moderate sedation
Patient-specific sedation planning based on medical evaluation, procedure needs, applicable permits, and location requirements. Not every patient or procedure is appropriate for every sedation option or office setting.
PRF & tissue management
Careful site debridement, with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) prepared from the patient’s own blood as an adjunct to the surgical plan. When appropriate, donor bone is combined with the patient’s PRF to create “sticky bone” for bone grafting and reconstruction.
THE PARTNERSHIP PATHWAY
Clear preparation. Defined responsibilities. Coordinated care.
01
An introductory conversation
We discuss your patient population, referral patterns, payer mix, available space, and the procedures you would like to bring in-house.
02
A no-cost practice assessment
Dr. Hunt visits your office to evaluate the proposed surgical setting, equipment, staffing, and readiness for the planned procedures and sedation. The introductory call and assessment require your team’s time, not a financial commitment. This assessment does not replace required regulatory notifications, authorizations, or inspections.
03
Agree on the scope and economics
Vanguard reviews your fee-for-service and insurance participation with you. Fees, the billable-production calculation, services, responsibilities, and payment terms are mutually agreed before the surgical contract is signed. Procedure selection and coding reflect the care actually provided.
04
Prepare the team and patients
Your administrative team receives scheduling and treatment-plan coordination guidance, procedure-specific readiness checklists, consent documents, and pre- and postoperative instructions. Imaging, health histories, required clearances, and clinical consultations are coordinated before surgery. Clinical eligibility and informed-consent discussions remain the treating clinician’s responsibility.
05
Begin with a measured first day
The introductory day starts with at least two planned surgeries so the teams can establish their workflow without a full-volume schedule. The usual $15,000 production target is waived for this first day. Established days are generally planned around six to eight hours of scheduled surgical activity, with preparation and recovery time accounted for separately as needed.
06
Maintain a clear follow-up pathway
Vanguard provides surgical and anesthesia documentation and leads postoperative surgical calls, concerns, complications, and revisions when indicated. Your team continues patient scheduling, billing, and coordination of postoperative office evaluations. Patients receive a direct Vanguard phone number for postoperative questions and concerns, with appropriate escalation instructions.
Onboarding typically takes one to two weeks, depending on practice readiness, staffing, required location authorization, and any applicable payer requirements.
IV sedation setup may take longer. Our setup requires a dedicated anesthesia cart, permanently maintained on site, with the equipment and supplies needed to provide sedation safely. These can typically be delivered within two weeks of a signed agreement. The Florida Board of Dentistry must also receive advance written notification of the new anesthesia location. We estimate Board response times of a few days to approximately four weeks.
Treatment begins only after all applicable requirements are met.
WHO BRINGS WHAT
A clear division of responsibilities.
Vanguard provides
Dr. Hunt and Vanguard’s surgical assistant.
Procedure-specific surgical instruments, cassettes, and drills, along with all necessary anesthesia equipment and supplies.
Implant, grafting, PRF, and anesthesia materials for the agreed scope.
Team preparation, procedure-specific checklists, and patient instruction documents.
Surgical and anesthesia notes.
Direct postoperative surgical support and management of complications or indicated revisions.
Your practice provides
The assessed, appropriately equipped and staffed treatment setting, with agreed host-office resources.
Routine dental supplies such as local and topical anesthetic, needles, and gauze.
Typically one to two support assistants for sterilization and turnover, adjusted to the day’s needs.
Front-desk support for scheduling, confirmation, check-in, check-out, and paperwork coordination.
Patient billing and collection administration.
Coordination of postoperative office evaluations and communication with Vanguard.
Anesthesia patient monitoring is a separately assigned clinical responsibility. The operating dentist, trained patient monitor, and operative assistant roles must be covered as required. An assistant assigned to monitoring cannot simultaneously perform unrelated room turnover. Staffing, equipment, recovery coverage, and emergency readiness are confirmed for each location and schedule.
FULL-ARCH RECONSTRUCTION
From the surgical plan to the definitive smile.
Vanguard’s full-arch pathway includes planned extractions within the treated arch, grafting and sinus augmentation where indicated, PRF, implant placement, and the restorative stages described below. A dual-arch plan addresses both upper and lower arches.
Surgery & provisionalization
When clinical conditions permit, a chairside 3D-printed provisional arch is created and fixed in place on the day of surgery. The provisional provides the planned interim restoration during healing; it is not the definitive zirconia prosthesis. Provisional design and fixation are selected for the individual treatment plan.
Healing & review
Follow-up visits assess tissue healing, implant readiness, provisional function, and any adjustments needed before the definitive restoration.
Definitive zirconia
A custom zirconia full-arch prosthesis, designed for the patient’s planned function and appearance, is generally scheduled for delivery approximately four months after surgery, once clinical readiness has been confirmed. Healing or other treatment needs may change this timing.
PRACTICE ECONOMICS
Understand the opportunity before committing.
Vanguard reviews the proposed schedule and your actual fee structure with you, with the goal of supporting a sustainable arrangement for both teams. The financial plan is practice-specific, not a one-size-fits-all promise.
$15,000–$22,000
Typical established surgery-day production reported by Vanguard, depending on case mix, schedule, and agreed fees.
$18,000–$22,000 per arch
Reported full-arch treatment-plan production, encompassing the agreed surgical, provisional, and definitive restorative stages.
Approximately $40,000
Total treatment-plan production for a dual-arch case scheduled for one surgical day. Surgery and eligible provisional delivery occur on that day; the definitive zirconia prostheses are delivered later.
These are Vanguard-reported practice-planning figures, not independently audited benchmarks, patient fee quotations, guaranteed production, collections, or net profit. Full-arch figures encompass the complete treatment plan, not services all completed or revenue necessarily earned or collected on the surgical date. Actual production depends on the agreed billable fees and services provided; expenses and collection performance affect each party’s financial result.
Compensation agreed before the first case.
Vanguard’s standard compensation for conventional surgical services is 55% of the billable production agreed upon with each practice. A 50% arrangement may be considered after reviewing the practice’s fee schedule and payer mix, with further reductions available when the practice meets additional agreed criteria. Compensation is based on agreed billable production, not collections, with payment terms documented in the agreement.
The billable-production calculation is established with each practice after reviewing its fee-for-service structure and insurance participation. Fees and applicable adjustments are agreed upon in advance. Full-arch reconstruction is contracted separately, and its compensation terms are not published here.
Vanguard is committed to "win-win" mutually beneficial partnerships and ongoing, open communication. Compensation arrangements may be reviewed and adjusted by mutual agreement to support a sustainable relationship that benefits both Vanguard and the practice.
No setup fees. No travel fees. No cancellation fees.
Established surgery days have a $15,000 scheduled-production target. This is a planning goal, not a guaranteed income figure or a minimum invoice. The target is waived for the introductory surgery day.
SURGICAL APPROACH
Preparation extends to every surgical site.
Vanguard’s protocol includes careful debridement of diseased or infected tissue where indicated and use of autologous platelet-rich fibrin—PRF prepared from the patient’s own blood. PRF may be placed at surgical sites and incorporated with grafting material as part of the individual treatment plan.
PRF is an adjunct intended to support healing, not a guarantee against dry socket, infection, or other complications. Recovery varies, and postoperative instructions and follow-up remain important.
