MEET DR. HUNT
A thoughtful approach to surgical dentistry.
HIS APPROACH
Care begins with understanding.
A dental procedure is only one part of a person’s experience of care. Dr. Hunt places importance on listening, explaining the treatment plan, and giving patients the opportunity to ask questions before decisions are made.
His approach is shaped by service in the U.S. Army, continued clinical education, international dental outreach, and a longstanding interest in philosophy. Across these different settings, the same principles guide his work: preparation, integrity, compassion, and respect for the individual.
Preparation
Reviewing the patient’s health, imaging, and treatment needs before developing an individualized plan.
Understanding
Making time to discuss options, expected recovery, and the questions that matter to the patient.
Follow-through
Providing postoperative guidance and a clear way to contact Vanguard about surgical recovery concerns.
EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS

CLINICAL FOCUS
Surgical care, planned around the individual.
Dr. Hunt works with dental practices to provide surgical treatment for appropriate patients in coordination with their existing dental team. His clinical focus includes the following areas.
Surgical extractions and wisdom teeth removal.
Single and multiple dental implant placement.
Bone grafting and vertical or lateral sinus augmentation.
Full-arch implant reconstruction and coordinated restorative care.
Oral and IV moderate sedation for appropriately selected patients.
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), prepared from the patient’s own blood, and site-specific tissue management as part of the surgical plan.
Treatment and sedation recommendations depend on the patient’s health, examination, imaging, procedure needs, and suitability of the treatment setting. Recovery and outcomes vary. Some cases require a different provider or facility.
A COMMITMENT TO SERVICE
Service beyond the treatment room.
Dr. Hunt’s commitment to care extends beyond his day-to-day practice. His background includes international dental missions and leadership with AYUDA International, helping bring dental care to communities with limited access.
These experiences reinforce a perspective that also guides his work with individual patients: care is a responsibility, and the person receiving it deserves attention, dignity, and respect.

BEYOND DENTISTRY
A life of reflection. A practice of compassion.
Outside dentistry, Dr. Hunt explores philosophy, human consciousness, neuroscience, and personal growth through writing and reflection. His interests include Stoic thought and the practical question of how to live with greater awareness, intention, and integrity.
A lifelong martial artist with a black belt in Hapkido, he also practices meditation and yoga. These disciplines inform his appreciation for patience, self-awareness, and lifelong learning. In patient care, that perspective is expressed through attentive listening and respect for the person behind the treatment plan.
